College Coursework

High quality, well prepared youth development practitioners (also called youth workers) are essential to engage youth and support their intellectual, social, emotional and physical development.  Montgomery College's Introduction to Youth Development course (EDU160X) is an interactive and engaging college course designed specifically for people who are interested in Out of School Time programs and professional preparation.

A certificate program and possibly an associate’s degree in Youth Development are currently being considered, using the Intro to Youth Development course as the foundation. Learn more about about our partnership with Montgomery College and the Credentialing Pathways for Youth Workers.
